Electro mechanical cleaning is used to clear blockages in sinks, baths, urinals and situations where high pressure water jetting would be impractical i.e. a risk of flooding the area. A motor driven rotating flexible rod that has interchangeable cutting heads is used to clear hard blockages such as scale. Retriever heads can be attached to pull back items that have been “lost“ down the toilet, a favourite being plastic toilet block holders.
