Drainage Repairs and Installations

Freeflow can carry out repairs to drainage using conventional excavation techniques or install new systems if required. Freeflow has the ability to carry out small works on domestic properties to excavations in the highway. All reinstatement works are carried out to the highest standard.

This project involved the diversion of a 900mm public storm water sewer. The existing sewer ran under a property that was subsiding. The diversion included the construction of a new manhole 2.3m deep, the laying of 40m of new drainage and filling the old pipe with concrete. All this carried out to the local water authority’s specifications and inspections.

An example of our works was the installation of a 10m x 15m soakaway for the Ministry of Defence. This was achieved by using a combination of concrete rings and crates covered by a plastic membrane. This replaced the existing soakaway that was an open pit that had ceased to function.
