High Pressure Water Jetting

High Pressure Water Jetting

Drain line blockages can create big problems in any household or business. Sometimes, the build-up of solid material becomes so extreme that more ‘traditional’ methods of de-clogging just don’t work anymore.

Instead of dealing with a plugged drain or standing water, consider high-pressure water jetting.

At Freeflow, our team has years of experience in high-pressure water jetting so you can feel safe and confident that the job will get done correctly. It’s not something you should try on your own, as the amount of pressure used can be risky for those who aren’t trained. Thankfully, we can help!

So, what is high-pressure water jetting and when is it necessary?

What Is High-Pressure Water Jetting?
High-pressure water jetting is an efficient and powerful way to clean out sewer and drain pipes. It’s typically used to remove any build-ups of scale, debris, and silt from drainage systems.

A jetting hose is used (Freeflow has equipment that can work on 50mm-1.2m diameter pipes) with different heads for different blockages. We use bomb jets to get rid of silt and debris, and a head called a ‘warthog’ to get rid of scale deposits.

Water is forced under different amounts of pressure into the sewer line and reaches all the way to the pipe walls. It’s a concentrated jet of water that hits every inch of the pipes, removing even the toughest of build-ups.

Water jetting can even get through a build-up of grease in your pipes, or tree roots that have started to make a home there.

When to Use High-Pressure Water Jetting
You don’t have to wait until you have damage or experience a blockage in your pipes to take advantage of high-pressure water jetting. In fact, some businesses choose to maintain the integrity of their sewer lines by getting this process done at least twice a year, if not quarterly. If your pipes are prone to scale deposits or other types of build-up, you can keep them in good shape by having high-pressure water jetting performed regularly.

At Free Flow, we use a CCTV camera unit during this process so everything is monitored. This ensures the safety of your sewer line and helps us to know we’ve successfully removed all of the build-up causing damage or slow drainage.

While high-pressure water jetting might sound like an intense experience, it’s actually not as tricky as it seems, especially with our experienced team and state-of-the-art equipment.

If there is an excessive build-up in your sewer line, having high-pressure water jetting take care of it can save you from experiencing pipe damage, expensive service calls, and unforeseen emergencies in your line. Having high-pressure water jetting done now can save you some downtime on any pipe emergencies, which is a major factor if you run a business and need proper drainage all the time. Simply put, it can help you to avoid a lot of stress and headaches!
